Phillip Smart: Is a part of HC & F/ Pyramid Studios & Carib Music Group. He has been in operation since 1982. His first project after opening was with a band named MONYAKA. They helped in the construction and shaping of the HC & F. sound. Monyaka's first single, "GO DEY YAKA" went to the top of the New York radio charts, almost hitting gold. In Europe it was a huge hit. HC & F. recording studio developed the market in Reggae recording, and opened its doors to many of the Most Famous known Producers, artists, musicians and engineers. The studio became the Number One reggae studio in America and a quality sound to compete with. JAH LIFE records international, a major reggae independent label made a deal for consistent weekly bookings from 1982 thru 1988. BARRINGTON LEVY did the singles MURDERER and BLACK ROSES to name a few. The producer HYMAN WRIGHT used the studio for his production exclusively and released some of our materials also. Most recently instrumental tracks produced by Jah Life and recorded by us in the eighties have been sampled and used for reggae and hip-hop tracks. ISLAND IN THE SUN records with owner, producer. Associate producer and rapper ALTON IRIE did a number of tracks. The name of the studio spread to Jamaica, & the entire West Indies, Europe and Japan. Artists were sent to the studio from everywhere seeking producers to record them. Mr. DOO began by laying tracks for album projects for NINJAMAN, GEORGE NOOKS. COCOA TEA and GREGORY ISAACS. Again this innovation was whipped up by JOHN "RAF" ALLEN and started a new branch of reggae called Hip Hop Reggae. The head of SUPER POWER records SHELLY was extremely excited and wanted more so our crew started turning out projects for him. Club DJ STING INTERNATIONAL, started producing records for SIGNET label and turned out hits like OH CAROLINA by SHAGGY. BEDWORK SENSATION by BAJA JED, BIG UP by SHAGGY & RAYVON, BERES HAMMOND'S SWEETNESS and then after teaming up with ROBERT LIVINGSTON produced BOOMBASTIC, SHAGGY'S VIRGIN RECORDS platinum hit. Most of the BOOMBASTIC, MIDNIGHT LOVER and some of HOT SHOT CD's including the hit single ANGEL were recorded here. In the New Millennium DANCEHALL dancehall Production has taken on a new face in the style of one rhythm track with twenty or more artists, computer based recording and mixing in programs like PROTOOLS is now essential and a major part of what we do. RIDDIMS like HEADACHE, HURRICANE, BLUE DRAWERS, HIGH FEVER, BIGGA JUDGEMENT, and HARD DRIVE is just an idea of a few that came out of the studio. LYNDON LIVINGSTONE AKA "STONEZ - TRINIDAD'S #1 PRODUCER & DJ: In a career spanning two decades, Lyndon Livingstone - known in the DJ World as Stonez - has gone from teenage mix tape master to being the foremost Producer of Remixes and electronic music in Trinidad. He holds his own as the owner/talent behind the Razorshop production house & Carib Music Group, even while maintaining his status as the country's top house music DJ, sprinkling his sets with his own unique, often ground-breaking productions.

Lyndon paid his dues as a resident DJ in Trinidad's top clubs throughout the 90's, but also added sound engineering to his skills set. The transition from DJ to Producer came in his early twenties, when he was offered an opportunity to work with Robin Foster of the Engine Room production house. Stonez quickly mastered the art of desktop music production and was soon introducing his DJ peers to the joys of editing.

He started asking local artists to give him acappella renditions of their popular tracks. A union of drum machines, synths, DJ live mixing skills, editing software and sample kits led to remixes and "road mixes" (extended mixes of Carnival festival songs restructured from album and radio release versions to suit the pace and energy of the parade).

Stonez was then offered to be a production engineer at one of the country's top radio stations (96.1 WEFM). When the operation expanded into a studio and record label (Link Up), he got the opportunity to showcase his mixing skills in a regular time slot during the island's annual Carnival festival and post production credits on much of the studio product.

Lyndon also branched out into sound design for fashion shows and theatre productions and started his own production house, Razorshop, in 1999. With one of the most state-of-the-art post production kits in the region, Razorshop has contributed significantly to radio and television.

He has produced remixes or completed post production edits for many of Trinidad and Tobago major talents, including: David Rudder, Machel Montano, Mungal Pattessar, the late Andre Tanker, 3 Canal, Sherwin Winchester and Destra Garcia. Internationally, Stonez has worked with Wyclef Jean (Haiti), Kobo Town (Canada), TOK (Jamaica), Mr. Vegas (Jamaica) and Mimi (Japan).
